New Regional Plan Adopted

The Bennington County Regional Commission adopted a new comprehensive regional plan following a second public hearing at its March meeting. The plan was developed over the course of 18 months by BCRC staff working with a steering committee chaired by Janet Hurley (Manchester Village). The new plan, consisting of thirteen chapters and 199 pages of text and graphics, can be downloaded here.

The plan provides updated information on the regionís 17 municipalities, expanded discussions on topics such as economic development, energy, and flood resilience, and contains numerous links to websites where additional information on a wide range of topics can be obtained.

The plan remains in effect, unless amended or rescinded, for eight years. For more information, contact Jim Sullivan at the BCRC (jsullivan@bcrcvt.org).
